I am an entrepreneur that has the luck to be able to work at home. Many people think it is and would be amazing to work from home but i beg to differ. Having home and work mix really is never a good idea because in reality you have no set hours so it can be difficult to turn off for the day and transition from work to home life. It is a challenge in itself. Thanks for the tips 🙂

I must say, you have a basic concept being shared here. Usable, with time management being the key. It is one thing to act as if you are working, at home. Then, realize that it is harder to do so!

Love it! I found that you will have the challenge of family adapting to real work time. They, mean well. One thing that works for me. I get everyone in the family involve with some aspect of my work. It makes them feel, contribution to the business. The reward for implementing this method, priceless!

      Siphosith,

I can always improve my time management yet I do not favor the use of a timer. When I am involved in a task, it often takes much longer than originally anticipated so I just keep going until I finish. Even when I’m on social media, I browse around, check what’s going on, comment here and there and share some posts I really like. And then I stop and move on to another task. I am not as comfortable using apps on my phone but I do use a program called Sticky Posts that displays my to-do list right on my home screen. What I don’t always do is set specific tasks for the day. I tend to think long term and have a long list of tasks – and then certain ones become the focus for the day. And then there are often new and more urgent tasks to complete.

      Warmly,
      Dr. Erica

Getting rid of time wasters is huge :). It’s so easy to go down the rabbit hole, so to speak, on social media. You have to be focused and intentional with what you’re on the sites to do. I also agree about rest. It’s one of those paradoxical things. Stopping to rest and take breaks actually increases your productivity.
